I seem to have an extreme fondness for water drops. When I finally get a real macro lens I am hoping to expand on this and try to capture the reflection in the drops ;)

Turner Falls, Oklahoma

Turner Falls is south of Oklahoma City. There are several photo's here of the falls area then the wolf comes from Arbuckle Wilderness just down the road from the falls. :)

The last few Zoo Pics!

These are the last few pics from my zoo set that I liked quite a bit. Some explanation as to "Why". The first is a sad picture that wasn't adjusted, showing Mr. Kitty being unhappy in the cage. Mr. Flamingo was camera shy, and the last was a nice scenery shot with depth of field.

All of my pics have had little to no adjustements or changes post capture. (Some have adjusted brightness/contrast to offset problems with the lighting, but that's it.)

First day of vacation......

and I was to lazy to go anywhere, so I set up a make shift studio in the kitchen :) Enjoy

I had to play with it.....

I didnt like the original image, so I took it into photoshop and masked out the tiggie and played with the background to darken it and make it less interesting. Now, I think, the tiggie just pops at ya. :)

Finally got over to the baby Giraffe, but the little butt had to play on the opposite side of the enclosure of me, even when I moved. LOL, oh well such is life ;)

It's called name the object ;) I got some macro filters and decided to play with them, so lets see who can identify these pics. Two are really easy, and two are not so easy LOL

Just call me a follower, but I had to see if I could get as good of pics as Kevin did LOL. Yeah I'm just a touch competitive, but he helps me strive to improve ;) Thank you so much for that Kevin.

Send in the Clown(Animals)!

These guys were clowning around at the zoo. The little varmint is for Leoki. Chuu. The arctic fox in the middle is actually related to the one on the previous days posts. Everytime I took HIS picture he'd smile for the camera at least. This pink friend at the end was in a small pond area in the bird house and, as a kid sat on the stone edging ignoring the sign that says not to, he tried to snap at the kids bum!

Chillin' on a Warm (for Canada) day!

These few pics mark the start of a set I'll be posting every day or two for a visit I did to the local zoo. The shots are the hardest (if not the hardest) that I've done, since the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, Manitoba (see: www.zoosociety.com) has a wonderful property but the exhibits are dated, and every shot has to be through mesh industrial fencing around the enclosures. I can't wait until some more modern and more visually appealing fences are laid in the new renovation project.
